Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor started in the industry in the 1970’s and has always had a fascination for the combination lock and the lineage of the locks as they progressed from only being considered ‘secondary locks’ to being trusted to fully lock safes and vaults in banks. Chris has owned his own company in Manchester since 1989 and is a past National Chairman of the Association and currently is the Northern Region chairman. As well as being a current MLA tester and tutor. Chris sits on various technical committees and served on the N.O.S. working group helping to write the training standards for the industry.

Dave Stapleton

David Stapleton learnt Locksmithing from his Father and cut his first key aged 4 years old. He went into his Parents business straight from school in 1985 and now runs it with his Wife Helen. Whilst he is a locksmith first & foremost, he also specialises in the electrical side such as access control and automation. David Joined the MLA in 1993 and has served on the Board of Directors, has been an Approved Company Inspector for over 25 years as well as having been a Sold Secure tester. He now enjoys teaching and passing on his knowledge gained over 38 years in the industry
