Gary Turner

Gary is a working Auto locksmith running his own business GT autos. He started his career in the motor trade in the 1980’s and worked his way up to be the manager at a Ford main dealer. From there he decided to use the skills he had acquired studying diagnostics and moved into specialist diagnostics. During this time, he found many issues with keys and key programming and decided to follow this side of the industry as it offered a challenge and the need for more skills. Looking for some additional specialist key and key programming knowledge he joined the ALA (Auto Locksmiths Association) as a member in 2013 and made good use of the information and opportunities that membership provided, and wishing to give a little back, became secretary of the associations committee and then vice chairman for 7 years.

Tim Hart

Tim started work as a locksmith in a Lockshop in Tottenham at the age of 15 and went on to work as an apprentice at E. Aldridge & son in central London. After 5 years at Aldridge, he moved to a safe company and 2 other locksmith companies, before moving out of London to start his own business Citylocks. Tim was invited to join the ALA at its inception and was amazed that there were other locksmiths/motor trade people who were interested in the same things he was! Over the years he has moved from working with non-transponder cars to ALL cars having various forms of transponders. Tim has served several years on the ALA committee as a committee member, secretary and as a chairman. He has even served on the MLA board of directors.
